Giotto è un robot che aiuta i lavoratori dei cantieri edili nel dipingere le pareti. Ha un braccio articolato per raggiungere tutti i punti che devono essere verniciati.
Giotto è programmabile con una applicazione dedicata.
La testa del braccio ha un sensore per la scansione 3D. Prima di iniziare a dipingere, GIOTTO acquisisce un’immagine della parete, elabora i dati acquisiti e poi inizia a dipingere i confini della zona che deve essere verniciata. Poi prosegue nel verniciare l’interno dell’area utilizzando un ugello per vernici in polvere. Alla fine GIOTTO asciuga il muro erogando aria calda.
Il braccio articolato permette di dipingere anche a soffitto.

Giotto is a robot that helps workers of the yard to paint the walls. It has an articulated arm to reach all the points that need to be painted.
Giotto is programmable with a dedicated application.
The head of the arm has a sensor for 3D scanning. Before starting painting, GIOTTO captures an image of the wall, it processes the acquired data and then it starts to paint the borders of the area that needs to be painted. Then it paints inside the area using a spray nozzle. In the end, GIOTTO dries the wall with hot air.
The articulated arm allows painting also ceiling.
